In July 2017, 25 students from St John the Baptist are set to embark on an exciting ten-day adventure to Borneo.
This biology field trip is to a most magical part of the world and is set to be a fantastic adventure offering a perfect balance of physical challenges, rainforest experience, wildlife spotting and beach relaxation. Students will spend time at a wildlife research centre and get up close to the famous orangutans at Sepilok, as well as having the opportunity to hike deep into the rainforest and spend the night under the stars.
Mark Bannon, Head of Science says: “This is a really exciting trip that will really bring biology to life outside the classroom. As well as spending time at a biology research centre, there will also be some downtime and the students will have the chance to try their hand at white water rafting as well as the most impressive zip lines in the world.”
The trip is being coordinated by school tour operator, The School Travel Consultancy (The STC). Based in Exeter, the STC has been organising adventurous trips and expeditions for schools since 2006. For more information, please visit www.thestc.co.uk
